I wouldnt normally post about a single game unless it was a final or something similarly important, however I think the Suicide Gaming League match last night is worthy of a mention.
This is for two reasons, firstly it was our first official match back after 4 months out of CS, and secondly it was a great close game. The match was played on CPL Mill and the game was very competitive and was tied at the end of normal rounds. TAA took the match in overtime and seemed to be much more relaxed playing in a "pressure" situation. Well played to all and well played to our opponents MadKid who did not moan once and played very well. |

A sad fairwell to long time clan friend and recent member Damarus.
Damarus has left the clan as he wasnt enjoying CS as much as he used to. He has now become a WoW Casualty like many other ex players. The clan wish Dan good luck in whatever he does and remain his friend and WoW teamates. But every cloud has a silver lining and the departure of Damarus ushers in another chapter in TAA-gamings history. I would like to welcome back Bliar aka Clowneh into the clan. He is one of the founding members of the team and top player. He makes a welcome return to the squad to strengthen the linup even further. The team is now starting to return to some kind of form and hopefully now we can get some results under our belt as we have entered both the Suicide Gaming League Cup and also the Anarchy Gaming League which is set to start soon. We are also hoping to be a part of the next season of CSGN. |

From this day onwards, TAA-Gaming as a clan have decided to retire from competitive gaming, both online and at lan events. Read on for more details.
Last week Leon (Seifer), the faithful leader, stepped down from the clan due to real life demands, we’ve also seen the parting of Joe (Nebula^) back to his much-loved friends at Sector7G. From this point onwards it’s left us with the struggle of recruiting and registering a couple of high skilled new members, whilst leaving us only a few days to prepare for next week’s online league games.
What made TAA a great team was the friendship, togetherness, commitment and teamwork from a squad that have played together for years, we felt it would be best to go out on a high than to try and rebuild.
I personally would like to thank Leon (Seifer), Sarah (Stray/Dice), Blair (Clowneh), Alex (KiNg), Rob (zell), Joe (Nebula^), Mark (f|ame) and Dan (DamaruS) for the effort they put into the clan and increasing TAA’s reputation as a quality friendly clan. We couldn’t have wished to recruit a better bunch, I wish them every success.
Seifer: "I’ve really enjoyed my time in TAA. They’ve given us everything we’ve needed. That’s what makes it so sad to say goodbye to both my teammates and to SparKeh. I know that some of the other players have big things in the pipeline and I wish them all the best." |

Quite recently, we at #TAA-Gaming have suffered the loss of our much valued clan leader, Seifer(Leon). Seifer attributes his leaving to a lack of interest in the game, the ever increasing number of cheaters, and to the strain put on him as a cl, of running a clan whilst simultaneously tackling the new responsibilities of a recent job promotion. As a direct result . . .
As a direct result of this, Nebula`(Joe), has also decided to call it a day in favour of rejoining his former clan #Sector7g. This leaves us faced with the problem of filling those positions left empty by their absence.
We are looking to recruit 2 (possibly 3) high-skilled members with a reputable clan history. We will be checking with the former clan leaders of those who apply, so there's no point giving us false references. To apply you will need to visit #TAA-Gaming, but please, only message TAA|Dice (me). I can't be there 24 hours a day, but I do check in every couple of hours, so please be patient while waiting for a response. With the UKCSL and CSGN seasons beginning soon, obviously we will need to find these replacements promptly, so please don't wait.

CSGN and UKCSL anticheat

As we grow ever closer to the start of season for both leagues, more and more information is made available to us. The latest news posts on both sites concern the anti-cheat technology to be used once things get underway.
Required for UKCSL are:
1. Cheating-Death
2. SBSRV (Steambans Plugin)
3. Soundcheck
4. Match Admin (not technically an anti-cheat, more a deterrant)
5. HLTV (not technically an anti-cheat, more a deterrant)
Imy has also stated that he would like to use ssClient, but first wants to know the opinions of those participating in the league who have used it previously.
CSGN seem to have taken a more active role in their cheat prevention, in that they've developed their own software. That news post and the download can be found here on their website. I suggest that anyone involved in CSGN Season 6 read the post thoroughly. |

Well, it turns out there's been a slight change to my previous news post in regards to the Premiership of the UKCSL. Rush! have apparently called it quits, and as a result, two new teams have been selected to battle it out for the empty space.
Imy tells me that he will be holding a playoff tomorrow night between diG and LANimals. The plan is that the winner will be awarded Rush!'s spot in the prem, and the underdog will go into division 1.
Additionally, I've asked Imy when we can expect the fixtures to be announced. So, for those of you impatiently awaiting the start of the season, his answer was:
[Imy] I have a script which generates them but I want to make sure the final teams are solid before I run it. Hopefully soon.

While I realise this news is a bit late in the coming and way past due, the following are TAA's recent clan news updates:
First, we bid farewell to Mark (a.k.a. f|ame) who was an excellent player and friend, and an all round fun guy. His seperation from the clan is regretable, and his skill will be missed. We hope that he keeps in touch.
Second,...
The new UKCSL and CSGN seasons are upon us. UKCSL has already chosen its list of teams and placed them in the appropriate divisions. This season's premiership looks like this:
Rush!
Drake
Adios
CarbiNe
ImG
S7G
SCEE
TAA
The fixtures have not yet been decided, but we look forward to playing S7G (nebula's previous clan) on whichever map Imy sees fit to assign. :) From what I understand, the teams to watch this season will be Drake and Adios, both of which are icelandic. This should be an entertaining season.
Finally, we have the up and coming CSGN season 6 to begin very soon. The signup form has been up for some time, and is only intended to remain for two weeks maximum, although the admins have reserved the right to extend this time period should they deem it neccessary. Naturally, TAA applied the moment the news post appeared on the CSGN website, and since we were the top team in division 1 last season, there is no reason why we shouldn't be awarded our promotion to the Premiership for season 6.
More news will be posted when the UKCSL announces its Fixtures and the CSGN Season 6 teams are announced, so look out for that. |

Just an update on the CSGN situation. TAA won CSGN division 1 winning automatic promotion to the Premier division this week. Although already assured a place in the top flight, the default win to TAA vs Fluid.Element meant they finish the season having played 9 won 8 lost 1.
This means that TAA have been invited to the CSGN LAN finals at Unicon in manchester. Unfortunately due to finances some members cannot attend meaning TAA are unable to field a full team. Good luck to all who compete at the LAN, maybe next season we will be there if we do well enough in the premier division. |

TAA get promoted to CSGN Premier Division

by Seifer | 9-12-2004 | 8:25 | Clan News |

Great news for the clan as last nights result means that TAA are guaranteed a place in the CSGN premier division. The CSGN league is generally regarded as the best online league in the UK. The move into the top flight should see TAA play many of the best teams in the UK on a regular basis.
The move up was tainted slightly by the fact that the match last night vs C4U had to be defaulted. C4U, considered by many to be one of the best teams in the UK, have decided to call it a day. This means TAA recieved a default win. This is a shame as all of the TAA players were looking forward to playing, remembering the close game at the WGR 6 LAN event, they wanted revenge for the 11-13 loss to the infamous Kritikal and co. There is now only 1 game remaining for TAA to play vs Fluid.element in the 1st division. This game will be played tonight. Victory or a draw would assure TAA of staying top of the division. The match will be played at 8pm on the underplayed de_prodigy map. Check out the CSGN homepage for details of the HLTV. Good luck tonight guys. |

Well known UK cs figure DamaruS has joined TAA. I would like to welcome him to the CS team which is now 7 strong. His skills should compliment the team well, he has already managed to slot in well, and this move should enable TAA to attend more LAN events in the future.
DamaruS left ctx last week after some in house arguments, we wish ctx well but believe that they have made a mistake letting him go. The squad is now looking to improve on last weeks poor performance in CSGN, and to build on their i22 victory. |

After a long day of CS, TAA emerged victorious in their second LAN event together. The team played very well throughout the tournament, and even when they seemed to falter under pressure, in the final they were able to pull it out of the bag and take the tournament win.
Congratulations to everyone who played, hopefully this will mark the turning point, and the team will now be able to translate so many second places and semi final spots into more silverware. The team Seifer, King, Zell, Clowneh, Flame, and Nebula have been playing all day at the Newbury Race Course centre in the Pro CS tournament. The team had it all their way in the early stages of the event, winning all matches up to the final with scores between 16-0 and 16-5. The clans first final didn't go to plan, as the pressure got to everyone, and it seemed for a while that oTT would take the match. However, at the death, TAA managed to change their form and produce enough decent play to clinch it. The team are now hoping to attend their next LAN event (the CPL qualifiers) in December hosted by Jolt. Whether this be in the proffesional event of the amateur event remains to be seen, but hopefully this victory will go some way to showing that TAA are a capable team. |

A breif post to say that Imy head admin over at the UKCSL league has announced that there will be no playoffs this season. this means that all current positions will stand.
TAA will remain in second place behind IMG in the premiership. This is sad news as the team is confident that a rematch would be an exciting game, and hopeful that it would finish in TAA's favour. The season was still highly enjoyable and well run by the admins. The UKCSL has continued season after season relatively unnoticed. Now in its fourth season and playing host to 6 Divisions, it is starting to establish its self as one of the largest and most respected online cs leagues in the country.
TAA hope to compete in the next season which should be starting early in 2005. This time hopefully to go one better and to take the title. |

The i series events although way overpriced always prove to be fun so the TAA CS squad will be attending. Hopefully there will be some good clans and some familiar faces there.
This will be TAA's second LAN event as a team. The usual rules of ordering pizza direct to the table, drinking, and staying up all night, then trying to play the next morning will apply. The team will be pleased to meet any of the online friends they have made, so come over and say "hi". Clowneh will be making the long journey all the way from Edinburgh to the event, showing just how keen he is to get out of Scotland.
The BYOC element of this LAN is fun as it is a chance for everyone to show off their PC, and to stare in amazement at the watercooled, overclocked, neon lighted creations that some people spend their every penny on. See you all there. |

TAA have just played their last match in the UKCSL premier division. A slow start to the season has been recovered with some good perfomances in the closing stages. They now have a chance to improve still further in the Playoffs.
TAA's recent results culminating in a win tonight vs Rush! have placed them second overall in the UKCSL premier league. They would have finished top if they had claimed the default victory over IMG in the first game of the season, as the are currently first. Congratulations to the guys who put in alot of practice and showed dedication which proved decisive in the end. Hopefully the clan can retain their recent form and carry it through to the playoffs in order to bring the team its first league title. Good luck guys! |

CS Team member Kunny (aka ShangKun) and myself have, as of last night, founded the TAA inactive list.
The plan is that sometime in the future Kun will rejoin the others in their ongoing battle of good vs. evil (or less dramatically, take up his position once again in improving their status in the many leagues). My future, however, is uncertain as of yet. After what I'm sure must have been a year and a half or so of "managing", it's occured to me that this isn't really something I enjoy doing, and as many of you have already realised in life, what's the point in doing something that you don't enjoy? This does not mean that I won't someday return, I haven't made that decision yet, but for the moment I have other things I could be doing that I believe would prove more fulfilling. You will still find me loyally idling in the TAA channel in the evenings if I'm needed. This has been my final news post. |

While I realise this news is a bit late in coming, and that everyone probably knows by now, it hasnt been announced officially so here goes. TAA has recently increased its ranks by one.
f|ame, formerly of UTD, has become our newest member. Not surprisingly, his knowledge and experience have already helped to improve the team. f|ame (a.k.a. Mark) has been a clan friend for years, he has merc'd with us in the past, this has enabled him to pick up the tactics without any problems. He left UTD after a disagreement with one of the other members, but I know that he was very sad to leave as many or his best friends are still there. We hope to make him feel as welcome and at home as he was in UTD. Hopefully he will be traveling to LAN with us very soon as the team plans to go to i22 in November. Welcome to the clan Mark. |

The upcoming CSGN matches have already been entered, and can be viewed by visiting the fixtures page, or by clicking here.
Anti-cheating measures to be taken include the ever popular random screenshots, and Cheating-Death.

ClanBase's fall cup selection, including the Counterstrike(Open) Cup, has now begun, and TAA are in the Quals!
Last week on Thursday the first division of the ClanBase CS Cup (consisting of 8 groups of 6 teams) was announced, followed on Monday by a list of the teams accepted into the UK/Benelux Qualifiers. TAA is among the list of teams competing.
The Qualifiers will consist of 3 matches, played first on Dust 2 between Sept.27th and Oct.4th, then Inferno between the 4th and 11th of October, and finally Nuke between the 11th and 18th. It's single elimination, which means a team need only lose one match to be out of the competition, but those that win all three matches will advance to the OpenCup.
We hope to face our first opponent (#puk-kai) on Wednesday the 29th, though this fixture has not yet been confirmed and is subject to change.

TAA play their first LAN event with new team.
Last weekend the WGR was held at Unicon LAN in Manchester. It featured some of the UKs top clans. There was a £1000 prize fund up for grabs along with various computer hardware prizes. TAA entered and a 5 man team travelled to the event. Clowneh flew in from scotland for his first ever competitive Lan and with other members travelling from Wales, the Midlands, and London it was an achievement just to get everyone there in itself. Overall the lan went reasonably well, considering that it was the first lan with this team. The squad qualified second in their group on the first day. They beat UTD and Loading convincingly. They lost to Euthanasia on inferno, who they have played several times on this same map and beaten before, but it wasnt to be on the day.
The second day started early with a match against C4U. This was obviously the hardest draw they could have been given, but spurred on by the fact that noone else had managed to get more than 4 rounds agaisnt them, the team put in an excellent performance to come within 2 rounds of beating them. The final score was 16-14. Its a shame that they were unable to get the last few rounds, however this proves that when playing well the team can compete with the UKs best. (Special mention must go out to Clowneh's CT performace as cries of "OMG kill Blair!" could be heard from the C4U camp.)
The team then moved into the lower bracket only to face CHEERS! who were formed from Alliance.cs just as the new TAA team was. The game was played on train, a map not played before by the TAA team. The match was a disaster, as Cruel knew where the team positions would be, and led his team to an easy win. CHEERS went on to place second, only losing to C4U in the final. Congratulations to them on a very good performance. If someone had to beat us I'm glad it was them.
The team is now hard at work practicing for the next LAN on the maps which it stumbled on in WGR, to make sure that they are fully prepared for the next one. i22 is the next LAN on the calender, and the team should be attending. Unfortunately Kun was unable to attend WGR due to illness, but hes fit and well again now, and should be able to go to i22. |

TAA Cup event is a great success.
The first ever TAA 1 day CS Cup competition was a great success. It consisted of 16 teams battling it out over 4 rounds of mr12 matches. The final between 2s2p and Choke was an excellent match and was watched by many on HLTV. This was a trial run of the event, and as such, no prizes were offered. However, due to the high standard of teams that entered, and the amount of interest that was generated for a 1 day competition, we hope to repeat the event with prizes very soon. The details of the next competition will be posted here, and although those details havent yet been decided, it will definitely be another invite only cup. Thanks from everyone at TAA to all who participated, and to all those who gave up their time to admin . |

Due to a failure to add a required 6th member, The UKCSL has recently ejected team xlerate from their league. While this removal may be unfortunate for xlerate, it has resulted in the promotion of TAA to the Premier division.
Tomorrow will be the first official fixture for the team as part of the TAA family, and hopefully it will prove a successful endeavor. Our first opponent will be Imagine clan on Dust 2. The match starts at 20:00, so please show your support in the TAA channel. Further fixtures for TAA in this league may be viewed by clicking "clan" in the navigation panel on the left and then "fixtures".
The CS team will be representing TAA in their first LAN together at WGR5 (WeGotRhythm #5) LAN held at Unicon Lan centre on the 18th and 19th of this month. More details on this event can be viewed by visiting www.unicongaming.co.uk

The team will now become TAA's own COD team recieving full backing from us. They will represent us at future LAN and online tournaments. Their part of the website will be up as soon as possible. I wish them all the best as they seem like a great team and very nice people. This is another step towards TAA becoming a well recognised multigaming clan. |

This is my first post as the leader of the new TAA CS squad. My first job is to announce the new CS team.
This is my first post as the leader of the new TAA CS squad. We have been given this opportunity by Sparkeh so our thanks go out to him. We have a tight 5 man squad which has been together in one form or another for around a year. We hope to build on the good work done by the previous CS squad, and help to make TAA a well recognised multigaming clan, in addition to its already excellent reputation as a gaming server company. Here is the new CS lineup. Seifer, King, Zell, Clowneh, Kun. We are toying with the idea of adding a 6th member, but we are in no rush as we are all currently very active.
We are hoping to bring in an experienced CoD clan as this game has grown enourmously in popularity of late. Watch this space for further announcements. Good luck to everyone involved. |

I have recruited clan co-ordinators who will deal with all aspects of our new MULTIGAMING clan. They will be building completely new skilled teams throughout a variety of games competing in popular LAN events and leagues. I will still be keeping an eye on everything in the background but concentrating more on the business side of TAA-Gaming. The new management and squads will be released shortly. |

Its been too long since i posted an update about the clan so anyone interested should read on further.
We've had a number of changes to the squad with a few people coming and going. The biggest would be loosing Imy after 3 years with us, also cord and hofugoshi are no longer part of the clan. After trialing alot of people we recruited Qban and welcome Wishy back from semi-retirement. This makes our squad more or less complete with 6 reg's and a couple of subs.
At the moment we are not competing in any leagues until UKCSL starts up again although we have joined cgsn open ladder. We are just playing alot of pcw's at night to keep us active over the summer.

Saintz aka Haikus is no longer with us and adz has taken a break from us at the moment. Markie has joined us along with pmt^ and Spike. Vapor and myself are currently inactive though im hoping to play again soon. We haveve had a few trialists come and go but criznen is the currently the only one.
We have been promoted to EnemyDown premier division, well done lads. Blunt has entered us into BWCSL and if all goes well we will be promoted from division 3. Imys UKCSL4U league has been belayed as well as SAVCSL so at the moment we welcome all PCWs. Keep up the good work lads. |
